bell hooks is the author of over 30 published books, devoted to "an end to the degradation and exploitation of black women". Her work focuses on the intersection between capitalist, racist, and patriarchal oppression, a focal point she describes as the experience of living in a society poisoned with white supremacy.
bell hooks has contributed greatly to both black and feminist theory. Her early work is seen as one of the first black voices to be heard in contemporary American feminist thought. A few of her works are listed below:
